Artplace Art SuppliesShopArtPlace.com is about making mixed media art and sculpture easy! New art supplies and mediums have revolutionized the creation of art. Textile hardeners allow almost any material, fabric, wood, metal, foam, and most any material become a source for wall art or free standing sculpture. ShopArtPlace.com features two of the top textile hardeners in the world.
Paverpol fabric hardener is a non-toxic artist's medium that is creating a whole new area of art creation. It is being used by fine artists, doll makers, art restorers, ceramic artists, and in other fields. Simply dip natural materials, such as textiles, in Paverpol. Drape or wrap the material around a wire figure or other armature and let it dry.
Paverpol Transparent dries perfectly clear allowing the
color, pattern, and texture of the original fabric or other material to show. It can be left transparent or painted with acrylics and finished as desired. It is also available in bronze and terra cotta as well a nuetral matte gray.
Paverpol dries fast, but slowly enough to allow plenty of working time. After it has hardened, you have created a beautiful decoration or sculpture, which can be used indoors as well as outdoors.
Paverpol will dry in 12 to 24 hours ready to paint, add more detail, or other finishes. It will completely cure for exterior use in about 2 weeks. If used for exterior it should be coated with an exterior varnish or paint.

Powertex is available in Transparent, Bronze, Lead and Terra Cotta. It can also be colored using powered pigments like Pavercolor.
How do you use Powertex?
* Powertex is a liquid medium, ready to use from the package.
* Powertex can be brushed on or items can be dipped directly in the Powertex.
* Once applied Powertex begins to dry and depending on temperature, it will stay flexible for quite a while.
* The treated fabric can be draped, folded, pleated and manipulated in countless ways.
* When cured your object is very durable and hard.
* Powertex is environmentally friendly and cleans up with soap and water.
* Use Powertex as a painting medium. Flow on to a canvas, add dry pigments to produce vivid colors and blends. Add Stone Art for texture and color change.

This two-part epoxy is similar in use to Magic-Sculpt but it has a thinner consistency (a little thicker than Vaseline). Easily smoothed with water to a glassy finish, Magic-Smooth is used often for taxidermy projects but it is also great for sculpting. M
