TIPS: Always soften hard clays with your hands before putting into the barrel
User Feedback:
"Having
rheumatoid arthritis, the regular silver extruders were virtually
impossible for me to use without a huge amount of discomfort and a
bigger degree of frustration. I have the Makin's extruder and love it!
No stress! No strain! Best $20 I have invested in a long time!" Bonnie

"
I've said it before and I'll say it again!! I have the Makin's Clay
extruder also and it is worth it's weight in gold. I made an extruder
helper extruder last year and it worked fine but... this extruder is SO
much easier to use. I recommend it highly." Ronalyn
"I
have to throw in my 2 cents worth here. The Makin's Ultimate Clay
Extruder is nothing short of fabulous. I have arthritis and was only
able to use my original extruder after making a pusher for it. Even
then, it was painful, and difficult, to use. As a result, I rarely used
the extruder. The Makin's is so easy to use I marvel every time I use
it. Cleaning (the little that is necessary) is a breeze. I absolutely
love it and highly recommend it."
"The
Makin's Ultimate Clay Extruder has a wonderful little O ring that
cleans the sides of the barrel as you extrude the clay. There is next
to no residue left behind on the barrel and because both ends have
screw caps, you can easily run a paper towel through it to remove any
clay that might be left behind.
Around
the push disk at the end of the threaded rod, you might need to clean
off a tiny amount of clay, but it is extremely easy to remove. This
extruder is nothing like the other ones on the market. It holds more
clay and is longer and slightly larger in diameter, plus it has 20
disks instead of 19. And as I said, two sets of 10 more are on their
way!"
